By submitting the course registration form, applying for Community Membership, or making a donation through this website, you agree to the terms described on this page. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please contact us before submitting a form.

1. About Deutsch am Abend

Deutsch am Abend is a non-profit German language community based in the Philippines, offering A1–B2 evening courses and Goethe-Zertifikat exam preparation. We are not a degree-granting institution, and completion of our courses does not itself confer any official German government certification — exam results for the Goethe-Zertifikat are issued by the Goethe-Institut, not by us.

2. Course registration

Submitting the registration form is a request to enroll, not a guaranteed seat. We will confirm your place by email, typically within 24–48 hours, once we've checked schedule availability for your chosen course.

The information you provide — including your name, contact details, address, and course preferences — is used to process your registration and communicate with you about your course. See our Data Privacy Policy for full details on how this information is handled.

3. Fees and payment

Course fees are listed on our Courses & Prices page and are payable as instructed once your registration is confirmed. We do not process card payments directly through this website — payment is made via bank transfer or GCash, using details we provide after registration.

As a non-profit, course fees go directly toward instructor salaries, learning materials, venue costs, and our annual teacher training scholarship. Discounted pricing may apply to eligible SPFL-PASCH participants and Deutsch am Abend Community Members, as described on the Courses & Prices page.

4. Community Membership

Community Membership is applied for using a separate, signed PDF form submitted together with proof of payment. Membership is valid for two years from the date it is confirmed, and entitles the member to discounted course pricing and other benefits described on the Courses & Prices page at the time of application. We reserve the right to verify SPFL-PASCH eligibility or membership status before applying a discount.

5. Cancellations and refunds

If you need to cancel or reschedule after registering, please contact us as soon as possible at info.deutschamabend@gmail.com. Because we are a small non-profit operating on tight class-planning margins, refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you notify us and whether the course has already started — we handle these on a case-by-case basis and will always discuss options with you directly rather than apply a rigid blanket policy.

6. Code of conduct

We ask all learners and members to treat instructors and fellow students with respect. Deutsch am Abend reserves the right to decline or discontinue a registration in cases of harassment, abusive behavior, or repeated disruption of classes, at our reasonable discretion.

7. Donations

Donations made through our donation form or by bank transfer are voluntary contributions to our non-profit mission and are not made in exchange for goods or services. If you've requested a donation receipt for tax purposes, we will issue one based on the information you provide — please ensure your name and amount are accurate, as we cannot guarantee corrections after a receipt has been issued.

8. Limitation of liability

Deutsch am Abend provides language instruction in good faith but cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes, exam results, or eligibility for visas, study placements, or employment based on course completion. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our courses or this website.

9. Your data

Information you submit through our forms is handled according to our Data Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected. By agreeing to these terms, you also acknowledge that policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally as our programs evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our registration, membership, or donation forms after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
