Deutsch am Abend: Empowering a community of German learners in the Philippines.
We believe quality language education should be accessible to everyone, taught by committed instructors, and reinvested into growth — not extracted as corporate profit.
Started by volunteers,
run by the community.
Deutsch am Abend began as evening classes among a small group of passionate German-language educators and learners in the Philippines. We saw a gap: quality German instruction was hard to find, prices were high, and the focus was always on volume, not on learner outcomes or teacher wellbeing.
As a mission-driven non-profit, our financial framework is designed to maximize educational impact. We continually reinvest in our teachers' growth and development because exceptional education begins with exceptional educators—reflecting a permanent organizational commitment to instructional excellence.
